We had a fantastic stay at Grand Hotel Palatino, but what truly made our experience so special was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, Gianmarco at reception greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm. His hospitality was unmatched, and it is genuinely clear how much he loves what he does—he made us feel right at home immediately. A very special thank you as well to Pamella for granting us a room upgrade and constantly checking in to ensure we felt welcomed and completely satisfied throughout our visit. The hotel itself is in great location, close to colosseum.

This place sets an incredibly high bar for luxury hotels. The attention to detail, consistency and care the staff provide was second to none. It exceeded my expectations so much I added a whole extra night to my stay.

We loved the staff, all were excellent and highly service orientated without being overt: Breakfast boxes for our early morning departure to the Vatican, umbrellas provided when it was raining, taxis on demand by the doormen, the cleaning of our room daily, assistance was never far away and always quick, professional and friendly. After staying in many hotels over the last few years (not all through booking.com), I have to say we were really impressed with this hotel and its staff. The location, the international buffet breakfast (food was always generous and of excellent quality), the service, the beds - all were amazing! Amazing because 5 star quality fluctuates widely across hotels. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was of course a beautiful suite as it included a spa on the terrace and a sauna. Both very useful after long days in Rome. This is a hotel I would definitely return to and have no reservations about recommending. We truly loved this hotel and the staff were exceptional and the cherry on the cake

Just be aware that the hotel likes to add a discretionary 10% as a tip for it's staff to the final hotel bill. You do not have to pay this but it would be good to have known this in the booking information ahead of time rather than at final checkout. However as long as this went to the staff who were more than deserving I had no problem with it.
