Jeddah is our hometown, and although we have our own home here, we sometimes choose to stay at SHIRVAN City Yard when we’re back. That probably says more about this hotel than any rating could. Thanks to its wonderful staff, lively location and elegant design, it feels every bit as much like home as our actual home in Jeddah. My first stay was for work in 2022. I was so charmed by the experience that I knew I wanted to return for leisure. Several stays later, that feeling hasn’t changed. Above all, the staff deserve enormous praise. They are incredibly kind, exceptionally helpful and gracious in the way they look after you. They’ve been generous with room upgrades, and the valet team is fantastic. During this stay, I was unwell with a fever, and they brought me a large bowl of ice so I could soak towels and put them on my forehead. That kindness meant a great deal to me. It’s the sort of care you remember long after checking out. The rooms are beautifully designed, with a modern style and a sense of elegance and class that makes spending time in them a pleasure. The location is equally special: lively, surrounded by wonderful places to eat and excellent specialty coffee, with so much to enjoy nearby. But as beautiful as the hotel is, it’s the people who make us love it. To everyone at SHIRVAN, thank you for making us feel so welcome and so well cared for. You’ve created a place that we return to with genuine affection, not simply somewhere to spend the night.
