Security fee or deposit of R500 of which I was not aware of. But I got it back.

We liked the coffee, the croissant, eggs and the avocado for the Florentin restaurant. And the telly and the hot water shower for the apart hotel.

Lack of proper customer care-when we arrived, we met a very difficult human being (a male person)at the reception who even though we had communicated on email that we'd be paying the security deposit in cash, kept us standing at the reception for an hour trying to find a way to pay via card when we had already indicated otherwise. He kept serving everyone else who came after us like we were not guests as well and at some point wanted to leave us there to go serve others elsewhere; the audacity!. There was no apology, no chairs to sit, just hostility and lack of customer care skills. However , at check out there was a a lady at the reception who was better at her job and it was smooth. Hygiene was shocking, and no additional supplies like soap, tissue, sugar, teabags after the first night. The excuse was that it is an 'a part' hotel. We also saw two cockroaches in the kitchen probably because they clean after 3 days and charge you for natural stains. The swimming pool was basically a cold baby bath tub.
