Very noisy at night time
I absolutely loved this hotel! There's a wonderful buzz about Presken Kuramo Waters, an atmosphere that's lively, welcoming and full of character without losing that lovely sense of being somewhere you can relax and enjoy yourself. The swimming pool looked particularly inviting, although I never quite got around to taking the plunge. The room was lovely too, albeit with a few charmingly idiosyncratic touches that somehow seemed entirely in keeping with the personality of the place. And then there's the location. Sitting beside the waters of Kuramo Lagoon was a genuine pleasure. Admittedly, the lagoon itself isn't going to win any international beauty contests, but with a little imagination I could almost convince myself I was relaxing beside the Nile or Lake Como. Sometimes all you need is a waterside seat and a willingness to dream! The customer service was absolutely outstanding. Truly second to none. There's something special about a hotel where the people working there make such a positive contribution to the experience, and that was certainly the case here. The only thing I would have appreciated was a slightly broader restaurant menu. The choices were entirely Nigerian, which I'm sure suits much of the hotel's clientele perfectly, but my embarrassingly Western palate was rather hoping for an international option or two. Even a humble plate of French fries would have been a welcome concession! But that's a small personal preference rather than a serious criticism. Presken Kuramo Waters has character, warmth, a lovely poolside setting and, above all, a terrific atmosphere. I arrived expecting a pleasant hotel stay and left having discovered somewhere with a personality all of its own. I'd happily return. And next time, perhaps I'll even venture into that pool!

The menu not having a single non-Nigerian dish available on it.
