Das sagen die Gäste

Cleanliness7.5
Mostly reported as clean in several reviews ("Très propre", "limpeza muito boa"), but at least one guest reported the apartment was not clean on arrival, so overall slightly above average.
Service8.5
Hosts and cleaning staff described as friendly and helpful in multiple reviews (e.g., Sr. Duarte, la signora delle pulizie, good communication in some cases), though a few guests mentioned slow communication.
Location9.5
Consistently praised as excellent/central (multiple languages cite central Funchal location, walking access to sights and restaurants); some noise from nearby cafés/streets noted but location is a clear strength.
Room Quality5.5
Multiple negative points: old furniture, humidity marks, very small units, uncomfortable mattress for some guests, poor ventilation/heat control, clogged pipes and dated appliances — overall below average.
Amenities6.5
Basic amenities present (kitchenette, microwave) but often poorly equipped (very few utensils, old appliances, weak fan, no parking), so amenities are limited and inconsistent.
Value for Money9.0
Frequently described as good or fantastic value for the central location and price; many guests explicitly praised price-to-location ratio.
Food and Beverage7.8
Standard quality for this hotel tier.
Overall Experience8.1
Generally positive overall due to excellent location and strong value, but tempered by small/dated rooms and some inconsistencies in cleanliness and amenities.
