The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was a 2 minute walk to the beach. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good and the coffee at breakfast was excellently prepared by the young lady on duty, with soya and almond milk options on offer.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was a 2 minute walk to the beach. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good and the coffee at breakfast was excellently prepared by the young lady on duty, with soya and almond milk options on offer.

Although I paid for a 'bigger' executive room, the room was very small - could barely be any smaller, with no desk and barely space to walk around the bed. There was no entrance lobby, so when sleeping, your head is literally a couple of feet away from the corridor, which can be noisy. I also kept checking the windows thinking they must be open somewhere as the noise from the streets was so loud, but they were not. Just bad quality with no soundproofing I guess... The room was very dirty. I mentioned this to reception the morning after checking in (as I checked in late in the evening) and they said no problem they'd get it cleaned again, I even specified where it was particularly dirty... The pictures below are taken AFTER it was cleaned again after I had reported it as dirty! It's a shame. I think cleanliness, quiet and some space are pretty basic expectations.

Great return after 10 years! It’s still as clean and welcoming as I remembered, and the central location is perfect. The place got a nice modern upgrade. I had a wonderful nostalgic stay.
