Good location, close to multiple metro stops and good restaurants. The AC worked very well and could be adjusted individually. Access to a kitchen with cold water dispenser was appreciated. Storage arrangements in the room worked well.

I booked a superior double room, with a window, and was instead put in a single room with no window, just a skylight (half of which was blocked by a broken blind anyway). I went downstairs to tell them about the problem and staff tried to tell me it was an "upgrade" because the single room was classed as "deluxe". When I asked what made the room "deluxe" all she could say was that it was bigger. I questioned that, because it's rare for a single room to be bigger than a double, but she insisted that was the case. Well...if you check the Kesa House website, the "deluxe single" is listed at 10sqm and is actually the SMALLEST of all the room types listed. I hate hotel rooms that lack windows (makes me feel claustrophobic) and would never have chosen to book this - I would have chosen a different hotel. The staff member I spoke to was unable to move me to a different room, she said the change was because of overbooking so there was nowhere to move me. I asked about a rate adjustment reflecting the smaller and windowless room, but was told that wasn't possible due to the whole "upgrade" argument. Aside from this, the room would've been fine if it was what you'd booked and expected. One half of the skylight blind was broken so it was stuck in the closed position - I was told it would be looked into but didn't hear anything further. Also the sliding bathroom door couldn't be fully closed as it ran into the bed, leaving about a 5cm gap. Though in a single room that's less of an issue of course.

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The room was very tired and in need of refurbishment. The furniture and bed were visibly chipped, the paintwork had been poorly touched up, with paint marks left on the furniture, and the bathroom grout was mouldy, with noticeable rust on the fixtures and fittings. Noise was also a significant issue. Our room faced a busy bar across the street and was directly above another bar/restaurant, both of which played loud music until around 1am. The noise made it extremely difficult to sleep, even with earplugs. This was particularly frustrating as we had an early flight the following morning. We raised our concerns with reception and asked whether it would be possible to move to a quieter room. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so this wasn’t an option. The member of staff we spoke to was very apologetic and understanding, but ultimately there was little they could do to resolve the situation. Overall, between the poor condition of the room and the significant noise disturbance, the stay fell well below our expectations. A disappointing experience, particularly when a comfortable night’s sleep should be a basic expectation of any hotel
