We were stuck in Taipei after Typhoon Champi cancelled our flights but Mr. Chu and the staff at Landis took care of me and my family during our short stay. The Landis provided great service greeting us at the door, storing our luggage early, checking us in, and service at meals even though they were inundated with trapped tourists and last minute reservations such as mine. The rooms definitely deserve their 5 star rating and our kids loved the wide variety of western and Taiwanese foods.

If I had to nitpick it would be the kids play area and the gym being warmer and more stuffy than expected, but at least they have both - a rarity. The room electronics are also controlled by a single ipad, which can be buggy or be an issue with young kids who play around with tablets.
