Gorgeous restored haveli on the waterfront with wonderful views of the lake including from the rooftop restaurant. The place was really charming and our room was a surprise - bigger than we expected with a little balcony and nicely decorated. Breakfast was fine. You couldn't ask for a better setting to have breakfast. It is right next door to a much more expensive hotel. Brilliant location near the city palace and main temple. With boats from Ghat a couple of minutes away.

Cars need to stop 6 to 8 minutes walk from the haveli and you cannot order a rickshaw Uber to the haveli either. They have to stop at the same parking site. Although there are other rickshaws available to order on the street. The old town is very chaotic with respect to traffic - rickshaws and motorbikes on very narrow alleys with incessant honking of horns. The haveli itself is up a quieter alley.

It’s a beautiful heritage property right next to the lake, the rooms are tastefully designed, neat and clean. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Worth the experience!

Restaurant staff (esp during lunch time) was very inconsiderate of the guests. They wete busy in owner’s private party. We waited for almost 15 mns and nobody even came to ask for our order. Given this behaviour, we had to quietly step out and look for another restaurant.

Its more like a homestay. No extra facility available anytime. If its after 10pm u have go out to eat. U cant even get outside food and nonveg is clear no no. In a vacation u sleep late but they will push u out at 10 in the morning. Food there is very overpriced 650 for aloo jeera. Overall only go for the view rest is not worth it.
