We loved how easy the car was to pick up and how much gear and supplies were loaded in the car! We had everything we needed and more. The owners are absolutely wonderful and so helpful! They responded promptly and made us feel welcome. This trip was almost too good to be true :)

Everything was great!

Der "black Rooster" ist zwar nicht mehr der Jüngste, aber dafür geht man damit fast als local (let locals pass !) durch und fällt als Tourist eigentlich nicht weiter auf. Dass man mit dieser Variante der Unterkunft safariemäßig immer in der ersten Reihe steht und sich die schönsten Plätze (wenn es nicht um das eigentliche übernachten geht kann man sich ja überall hinstellen ...) je nach Tagesbedarf selber aussuchen kann ist natürlich ein Traum auf einer teilweise doch sehr vom Tourismus erschlossenen Insel. Abseits der Hotels gilt "my car is my castle" und man hat ja alles dabei was man braucht.

OK, booking ist jetzt nicht die typische Plattform um Reisemobile zu vermieten und daher auch nicht wirklich auf die speziellen Fragen und Informationen zu diesem Modell vorbereitet. Ich hätte mir nur vorab irgendwie mehr Informationen zu den zu erfüllenden Zusatzaufgaben (Versicherungen, Campbuchungen etc.) und deren ungefähren Kosten gewünscht. Im Nachhinein war das natürlich auch kein Problem, nur es bereits bei der Buchung zu wissen wäre etwas einfacher gewesen. => Also bitte nicht abschrecken lassen und die Tour genießen ...

Not the hosts fault, but be prepared that sleeping in a car / tent without AC for multiple days when its so hot and humid can be a challenge! Its not a vacation, its an adventure!
