Our room basically did not have a window (curtains cant be raised and there is a sight blocking material on the window)

Staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Location is quiet and away from the busy tourist areas. About a 15-20 min walk from Kyoto station and a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway line. Also the free drinks and snacks in the afternoon were very nice, especially if you're dropping back in to recharge before going out for dinner or night activities!

I wish the soundproofing was slightly better between the rooms - sometimes I can hear other guests' conversations from adjacent rooms - not loud enough to keep us awake but it was noticeable.

The exterior and lobby look amazing, but unfortunately, the rooms were a catfish experience. The photos made them look much nicer than they actually were, and the room we received was not in great condition. We booked a Superior King Room expecting the walk-in Western-style shower shown in the photos, but were given a shower over the bath. As I had an injury, this was an issue. When we requested a room change, the manager was rude and sighed rather than explaining the situation politely. Other issues included towels not drying overnight, no hook for the second towel, unpleasant smells throughout the hallways, and rubbish left behind despite being clearly visible beside the bin. The hotel has potential, but the room photos need to be more representative, and the customer service and housekeeping could be improved
