The bathroom was not very clean, and the overall hygiene was questioned.
The host was kind but not cooperative, failing to assist effectively during issues.
The area appeared unsafe, and public transportation was lacking.
The room was spacious but very noisy due to poor sound insulation.
Favorable remarks about the room being nicely equipped, despite issues.
Overall value questioned due to inadequate services.
Breakfast was minimal and lacked variety, affecting overall experience.
Mixed feelings with significant issues overshadowing some positives.
I stayed here for two weeks and rented the Kestrel Suite. It has a huge comfortable bed, a flatscreen TV, a modern shower and bath, a sofa, a fridge, a kettle and views of both the city and the ocean with blackout curtains and blinds for the nighttime. The guesthouse is modern and clean and the staff are friendly and quick to provide anything you might need. There is a kitchen and laundry you can use for a fee too. The pool is nice and there’s a small beach nearby. A 5/10min walk away is the bus stop that takes you directly into Port Louis for 40R each way and I always found there to be regular buses and didn’t encounter any traffic. Near the bus stop is a massive superstore with everything you’d ever need. There is also a food court where you can buy a selection of cuisines including noodles, pizzas and burgers, more of these takeaways open up as the week progresses and there are a few pop up food stalls where you can buy various items around the neighbourhood, which I found to be safe and quiet. I was very comfortable here and Mary is a fabulous host who creates a welcoming, social and inclusive environment for her guests.

Breakfast was simple but nice. My daughter and i enjoyed the special homemade 'omlette' The place was clean and comfortable. Mrs. Saloni, a very nice lady who works as housekeeper, went out of her way to please the clients. In general, we enjoyed our stay at Casa Maria, although we felt a bit lonely since we were the only clients at that time.

The location, no shop; no restaurant or other facilities around. However, for clients who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place, i would recommend this place.
