DO NOT STAY HERE. This was the most disturbing experience I have ever had while traveling. ▪ Passport: The manager retained my passport from the first night. ▪ Privacy breach: At 1:40 AM, a staff member opened my private dorm bed curtain without warning or knocking, while I was completely naked in bed. ▪ Night harassment: He tried to force me out of the hostel at 1:40 AM to do a 40-minute walk to find an ATM for cash, refusing to wait for morning. ▪ Aggression: When I protested against this invasion of privacy, he told me to "f*ck off". This property lacks basic respect for human dignity, privacy, and safety. I filed a formal complaint with the Omani Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) and the booking platform.

Basil is a great host and helped me how to figure out to see as much as possible during my layover ☺️

The beds werent so comfortable and maybe there could be more of a hostal atmosphere created - the common.room was kinda only used by people listening (loudly) to their TikToks instead of having conversations.

It has a relaxed atmosphere and a cute cat.

There are too few bathrooms, so they often get crowded.
