Easy to arrive from the airport, buses to the city right outside. Surroundings were very pretty. Modern furnished hotel, nice lobby. Big windows to see the trees outside.

There were no amenities provided neither bedroom slippers.

No acoustic at all in the rooms. We could listen everything that was happening on the outside (we were on the second floor). No amenities, only basic hand wash, shampoo and conditioner. The staff said that the tap water is filtered but it’s a little annoying to take water from the bathroom to drink. There was no mini bar or anything in the fridge. Also it’s too far from the city centre (40 minutes by bus) and there’s nothing around it (no markets, restaurants, coffee).
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The beds were cosy. The food and beverage offerings were varied and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The location in Herriot Watt university is ideal if you are visiting the campus and is close to the airport but it is a bit remote for Edinburgh itself. Price was expensive (but it was during the Festival)
