Mostly reported as clean in several reviews, but specific mentions of a roach infestation in one room and occasional reports of mildew (pool level) and rooms 'wasn't super clean' lower the score slightly.
Staff frequently described as cordial, helpful and wonderful at the front desk; a few isolated negative interactions (rude staff, pushy concierge, slow valet) were reported but the overall sentiment strongly favors positive service.
Repeatedly praised as 'perfect', one block from Bourbon Street, close to Canal Street and streetcar — location is the strongest positive in the reviews.
Rooms are described as small, somewhat tired or dark in places; one report of roaches and limited closet space and only partially renovated bathrooms reduce the room quality rating.
Amenities are mixed: breakfast available/liked by some, but others report no breakfast, no mini-fridge, pool mildew smell and slow valet/expensive parking — generally adequate but inconsistent.
Multiple complaints about high cost, unexpected fees and poor value (nearly $1k for three nights with no mini-fridge, extra undisclosed charges) drive a below-target score for value.
Breakfast was praised in some reviews as 'really good' and convenient, though other guests reported no breakfast available; overall F&B leans positive but inconsistent.
Many guests report a comfortable, well-located stay with helpful staff and cleanliness, balanced by a subset of notable negatives (room issues, fees, occasional rude staff) — net experience is positive.

I did not like the concierge. We asked if they could recommend a good swamp boat tour and she told us she could get us free tickets if we joined their vacation club. And she continue to pressure us to join the vacation club and we could get free tickets and after over five minutes we finally just said, forget it and walked away. I thought a concierge was supposed to help you find what you were looking for and not try to sell you a vacation club timeshare. The room was pretty small. The only updated part of the room was partially renovated bathroom. The closet was so small. You could only hang two or three things in it. I had to leave all of my things in my suitcase I could not unpack it. The view was decent from the room. unfortunately the view from their lobby and restaurant was of a seedy quickie Mart store directly across the street. But the location was excellent. It was within walking distance of Bourbon Street and Canal Street and the street Car. Bed was comfortable enough, the pillows were not.
