I have traveled extensively throughout my life, but I have never experienced a hotel like this before! It wasn’t even worth $50 a night! The hotel was disgustingly dirty, with a strong, unpleasant smell everywhere. It was almost impossible to sleep comfortably. The carpets were filthy, and the windows were so dirty that we could barely see outside! The balconies were covered in dust and dirt, making them practically unusable. The bathroom was old and lacked even basic amenities. There wasn’t even a small refrigerator in the room, yet this hotel claims to be a four-star property! The advertised photos look absolutely nothing like the reality. Our experience at check-in was just as unacceptable. We had to wait an entire hour to get our room because the staff kept claiming that our reservation did not exist. But the worst part happened shortly afterward: Just 30 minutes after we entered our room, another couple unlocked our door with their own key and walked straight in, right after I had stepped out of the shower! This was an extremely serious violation of our privacy and security. And to make matters worse, breakfast wasn’t even included in the room rate! This hotel does not deserve even one star, let alone four! One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We enjoyed the property. It was very nice and I loved the revolutionary/ early American decorations. I thought the vibe was very fitting for Boston.

The location was perfect, so handy for everything we wanted to see and do.

The room felt a little tired, as did much of the decor in the rest of the hotel. The WiFi was terrible, when travelling abroad having poor WiFi in your hotel is problematic
The aesthetics in the lobby was nice

Curtains were stained with what looked like makeup or blood. Bathrooms were just ok, very old. Headboards to bed should not be fabric bc they are stained. I cannot stand rugs in a room.
