spacious room in older building, close enough to main tramline, also liked that small fridge,microwave.kettle and blackout blinds were provided, bathroom shower had been recently upgraded and provided good pressure, check in details provided a day in advance and worked as expected

Room was functional but could do with some minor maintenance to improve a few bits here and there,accepting its an older building

The good points. The heating was good. The hot water was hot. The linen was clean.

The email for entry and key collect arrived after we had reached the property, we had to phone for instructions. The room was a twin bed room. It was so small there was no where to put clothes other than a rack over the side table. Our cases had to sit on one of the beds. Therefore we slept in only one of the beds. There was only one chair. The light switches were at an uncomfortable height as was the blind cord. My wife could not reach either. The bathroom handle is not fixed correctly so it is very difficult to open the door. Only soap provided, no other products and no shower cap. The room was not serviced throughout our stay so tea making lasted the first day then no more. One towel only for each of us. The two pillows were so thin they were useless. I know Edinburgh is an expensive city but for what we paid the Hotel fell far short on facilities.

The location was perfect and so was the budget. It is a budget friendly place. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all the basic facilities in it.

There are a couple of things I think that should be there with the price. Number one is there should be a small shelf for storing shower gels and stuff beside or inside the shower room. Next, the Hand wash dispenser was broken. Also, there should be a mini fridge (not compulsory though) with some small plates so that customers can store whatever they like and eat some take aways. Other than that, it was all okay.
