Завтрак нам не понравился, было бы хорошо если бы больше европейских позиций сделали бы. Мы ничего особо не могли есть.

It was a tasteful hotel, and staying here was truly worthwhile. The hotel is in a very convenient location, and the actual property closely matches what I had seen in the pictures. Although it is not located right next to Shanghai’s The Bund or People’s Square, it is situated just a 2–3 minute walk from South Qilianshan Road Metro Station. This makes it easy to travel to various destinations across the city. Moreover, having McDonald’s and Starbucks right downstairs is a great convenience and makes finding food much easier. The staff were also very courteous and helpful. I arrived at around 2:30 AM and requested something for dinner, and the staff kindly brought food for me from McDonald’s. Mr. Tommy, in particular, was exceptionally helpful in this regard.

Areas where the hotel could improve: # A full-time restaurant: Having an in-house restaurant would allow guests to enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel without having to go outside. # More breakfast options: Adding more halal, vegetarian, and fish-based items to the breakfast menu would be a welcome improvement. # Room service assistance: Even a small team dedicated to assisting guests with their luggage would be helpful. This would be especially beneficial for elderly guests and those who are unwell, allowing them to avoid the inconvenience of carrying their own luggage between floors.

We had a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Express Shanghai. Everything was excellent, from the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to the delicious breakfast and outstanding hospitality. The hotel’s location is another great advantage! It is conveniently located near a metro station, making it very easy to explore Shanghai and travel around the city. There is also a large supermarket nearby, which is extremely convenient for shopping and daily necessities. The reception staff were extremely professional, friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly comfortable and valued as guests. A very special thanks to Takashi Zhang (张煜宗) and Emily at the reception for their exceptional kindness, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Both went above and beyond to assist us and ensure that our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and stress-free. Their warm hospitality truly made a difference! The housekeeping team also deserves special appreciation for maintaining excellent cleanliness standards throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming, peaceful, and comfortable. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again whenever we visit Shanghai.
