Amazing. Wonderful location alongside the river. So tranquil just watching the river. Lovely room with big patio doors giving a view across the garden to the river.On one evening we had elephants walking only 20 metres away Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice Evening meal could be eaten on the verandah or alongside the river. Boat excursions from the hotel Reception had a full range of excursions Bed turn down every evening

Amazing location on the bank of the Zambezi River, beautiful grounds with a number of visitors including warthog, monitor lizards, ibis, monkeys and antelope! Excellent accommodation and a la carte dining. Great base for exploring.

Gorgeous hotel and grounds! We loved our two bedroom family room, perfect space for the four of us to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the view! Service was excellent throughout our stay and I must give a special shoutout to the wonderful lady (did not get her name) at the activities desk who went out of her way to help us make last minute extra excursions!! Thank you! Restaurant staff and the menu variety were excellent! The location was a fairly close drive to all the attractions from town, helicopter, falls to Boma. An excellent stay overall. Too short!

Gorgeous hotel and grounds! We loved our two bedroom family room, perfect space for the four of us to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the view! Service was excellent throughout our stay and I must give a special shoutout to the wonderful lady (did not get her name) at the activities desk who went out of her way to help us make last minute extra excursions!! We were lucky to be upgraded to this hotel and was so impressed with the quality and staff. Restaurant and food was amazing, rooms gorgeous and location was so beautiful on the banks of the Zambizi River with wildlife sightings every day from warthog to hippos! Would highly recommend.

Palm River Hotel was recommended by our travel agent. Initially, I was reluctant because it is located quite far from Victoria Falls town center. Guests planning to dine independently or explore town on your own may find the location less convenient. However, as our meals and activities were largely pre-arranged, this was not an issue for us. The riverside setting was greatly appreciated. The hotel provides a shuttle service to town. We asked the staff at Lookout Café to contact the hotel to arrange a pickup after lunch, although it took about an hour for the transport (which was outsourced to Wild Horizons) to arrive. Check-in was somewhat slow, but still acceptable. All staff spoke good English, and we had no communication issues throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the avocado toast and the mini shots of cucumber and beetroot juice. Our room was spacious, with a large bathroom, and was generally very comfortable. One of the highlights of the property was the wildlife. We saw waterbuck, elephant, and a group of hippos on the hotel grounds during our stay. The hippo encounter was particularly memorable. After the hotel's BOMA dinner, which was held near the edge of the property, the hippos emerged from the river and began grazing on the lawns. We had to wait while hotel staff took precautionary measures before escorting us safely back to the main hotel area. Given the location, the hotel also thoughtfully provided two insect-repellent sprays in the room (one for the room and another for body). We did notice a couple of small insects in our rooms during our stay, but this was not unexpected given the natural surroundings. We also appreciated the afternoon tea (sourdough donuts were good!) and laundry service. After our Victoria Falls walk, our shoes were completely drenched, and the hotel staff managed to clean and dry them by the following day, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, Palm River Hotel exceeded our expectations and proved to be an excellent choice for our stay in Victoria Falls.
