The hotel is well located, and the staff are definitely its biggest strength. Both receptionists were friendly, helpful and professional, and the breakfast and housekeeping teams were equally welcoming. The daily cleaning was very good, with clean bedding, bathroom facilities and toilets. I also appreciated that the hotel contacted us via WhatsApp during our stay to check whether everything was going well. It was a thoughtful touch that showed genuine care for guests.

The hotel is starting to show its age and clearly needs some renovation and better maintenance. There was mould in the bathroom joints, damaged wooden flooring and no heated towel rail. We were initially given a basement room despite booking a standard room, with no warning about this possibility when booking. Although the receptionist eventually moved us to the ground floor, the situation left a bad impression. Breakfast was also disappointing, with very limited variety and almost the same food every morning. What bothered me most was that coffee wasn’t included in the paid breakfast and cost up to €4.50 extra per cup, which I find ridiculous. Overall, this feels like a hotel that used to be a good mid-range option but has gradually declined. It’s not a terrible hotel, but I wouldn’t stay again. It’s a shame because the staff provide much better service than the hotel’s current condition reflects.
