Bathroom was wet after showering, resulting in a strong musty smell, as the wood had already been affected by the moisture. Silicone joints were black in the shower area. The smell affected the entire living area (room); Thin walls, you could hear almost every step from the residents above. The room was not cleaned throughout the entire stay, so you were responsible for cleanliness and trash disposal.

The host was super friendly and gave us plenty of great restaurant recommendations, as well as general tips and must-sees for São Miguel. The apartment was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels provided (even for the hot springs). Parking was super easy, with a lot right around the corner where we always found a spot.

lack a bit of comfort

City Stone House was perfect for us in Ponta Delgada. The location is a little bit outside the center, but completely walkable, and it is easy to park in the adjacent lot or on the street if you have a rental. Some reviewers noted noise from the airport, which is present, but did not bother us. This will affect any accommodation on the southwest of the city, really. Emanuel was an extremely helpful and communicative host, making our check in a breeze and our stay perfect. He is ready with suggestions and for anything you might need at the drop of a hat. Since the rooms are not serviced during stay, we appreciated the extra towels and supplies, but if we needed anything else, we're sure we could have gotten it right away based on his super fast response times! He knows hospitality! We slept great on the very comfy bed, and enjoyed evening wine on the terrace. We would 100% stay here again.

There was a bit of noise from the room upstairs (a couple of young men that were pretty loud walkers!), however voices didn't carry, but be aware that this and steps in the stairs may be noticeable, depending on who's in the other room(s). There were also some loud dogs nearby. However, there were also earplugs provided downstairs if you need them!

Auch der Vermieter Emanuel war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns zahlreiche Tipps für gute Restaurants, Viewpoints und sonstigen Aktivitäten gegeben und war sehr bemüht unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm und reibungslos wie möglich zu machen. Das Parken an der Straße hat jedes Mal reibungslos funktioniert, wobei man erwähnen muss dass die Straße recht schmal war. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

In der Küche hat man ab und an eine Kakerlake gesehen, wobei die Küche sonst sehr sauber war.
