We had a lovely stay in Geneva. The apartment was very clean, and the room was spacious and comfortable, so we could rest well after exploring the city. We also appreciated being able to use the kitchen to prepare our meals and having coffee available — thoughtful details that made our stay even more comfortable. The bathrooms were clean too. We’d also like to highlight how kind the host was. He made us feel very welcome. We left feeling happy with our stay and would gladly recommend this place.

Lovely spacious room in top apartment. Caio who was in charge of the apartment was a delight to deal with and chat to…very helpful. Situated in a quiet area and easy access from the train station I was very pleased with my room… just a pity I could only stop one night as I would happily have stopped for longer in this wonderful city. Very recommended 👏

Everything was superb

Die Wohnung ist vom Bahnhof aus fussläufig zu erreichen. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Küche ist voll eingerichtet und nutzbar. Zimmer, Flur und Küche sind sehr geräumig und die Fenster haben Fliegengitter. Bad und WC sind getrennt.

Die Wohnung ist vom Bahnhof aus fussläufig zu erreichen. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Küche ist voll eingerichtet und nutzbar. Zimmer, Flur und Küche sind sehr geräumig und die Fenster haben Fliegengitter. Bad und WC sind getrennt.

Die Wohnung war bei meiner Ankunft (ca. 13:55 Uhr) nicht gereinigt, aber die Putzfrau erschien nach Anruf beim Vermieter nach einer halben Stunde. Man teilt die Wohnung u.U. mit einem oder zwei anderen Gästen, da es zwei Schlafzimmer gibt. Der Vermieter war nicht anwesend. Die Infos zum Schlüssel wurden per Whatsapp-Nachricht übermittelt. Das Doppelbett ist kein Bett, sondern ein älteres, ausgezogenes Lederschlafsofa. Ich habe es vorgezogen, nicht dort zu übernachten.

저는 세계여행을 하면서 약 2년간 Booking.com을 통해 약 94곳의 숙소를 예약했습니다. 유럽의 많은 숙소가 건물 특성상 에어컨 설치가 어렵다는 것도 알고 있고, 특정 지역은 여름에도 에어컨 없이 지낼 수 있다는 것도 알고 있습니다. 그래서 이 숙소가 저렴하고 호스트도 친절했기에 처음에는 문제를 제기하지 않고 지내보려고 했습니다. 하지만 제가 머문 8월 10일부터 13일까지는 선풍기만으로 버틸 수 있는 날씨가 아니었습니다. 오후 내내 방에 열기가 차서 밤에 잠을 제대로 잘 수 없었습니다. 처음에는 제가 에어컨을 못 찾는 것인가 싶어 호스트에게 문의했습니다. 그런데 에어컨이 없다는 설명이나 사과 대신, 호스트는 숙소에 있는 다이슨 선풍기 사진을 보내왔습니다. 제가 “이건 에어컨이 아니라 선풍기”라고 지적한 뒤에야 호스트는 이렇게 답했습니다. “I’m working very hard to find an air conditioning replacement since the failure on the building air conditioning.” 건물 특성상 새로운 에어컨을 설치하기 어려운 상황이었다는 것은 이해할 수 있습니다. 하지만 그것과 Booking.com에 ‘에어컨이 있다’고 숙소 정보를 등록해 놓은 것은 완전히 다른 문제입니다. 에어컨이 없었다면 저는 이 숙소를 예약하지 않았을 것입니다. Booking.com에 정확하게 “에어컨 없음”이라고 적혀 있었다면 처음부터 다른 숙소를 선택했을 테니까요. 더 큰 문제는 체크인한 뒤에야 실제로 에어컨이 없다는 사실을 알게 되었다는 것입니다. 이미 숙소에 도착한 후에는 다른 숙소를 구하기도 어렵고, 결국 잘못된 숙소 정보를 믿고 예약한 고객이 그 불편을 감수해야 했습니다. 호스트는 이후 25.5 CHF의 Geneva City Tax를 대신 부담하겠다고 제안했고, 저는 이미 체크인한 뒤였고 선택지가 거의 남아 있지 않았기에 그 제안을 받아들였습니다. 하지만 도시세 25.5프랑을 면제받는다고 해서, 예약 당시 제공받은 숙소 정보가 사실과 달랐던 문제까지 해결되는 것은 아닙니다. 다른 후기에서 보니 에어컨을 문제삼은 다른 숙박객에게도 이렇게 숙박세 환불을 해줬다고 합니다. 숙박세 환불을 해준다고 에어컨이 없는 것 자체를 문제 삼는 것이 아닙니다. 에어컨이 없으면 없다고 정확하게 적어주세요. 고객이 무엇을 예약하는지 정확하게 알 수 있도록 숙소 정보를 정직하게 제공하는 것은 기본적인 사항이라고 생각합니다. 세계여행을 하며 약 94곳의 숙소를 이용했지만, 에어컨이 있다고 명시되어 있어 예약했는데 실제로는 에어컨이 전혀 없었던 경우는 이번이 처음입니다. 저렴한 가격과 친절한 호스트라는 장점이 있더라도, 예약에 결정적인 영향을 미치는 시설 정보를 사실과 다르게 표시하는 것은 절대 가볍게 넘길 문제가 아니라고 생각합니다. 에어컨이 없다면, Booking.com에 선풍기가 있다고 말할 것이 아니라 처음부터 에어컨이 없다고 정확하게 표시하시기 바랍니다.
