Mijn reservering voor 11–13 september 2026 werd op de dag van aankomst onverwacht geannuleerd, terwijl ik al onderweg was naar Luxemburg en de incheckinformatie al had ontvangen. Via Booking.com kreeg ik te horen dat de accommodatie mij niet meer kon ontvangen vanwege een onverwacht probleem met de accommodatie. Door deze zeer late annulering moest ik op het laatste moment een andere accommodatie regelen, wat voor veel stress, ongemak en extra kosten zorgde. Booking.com heeft mij in deze onverwachte situatie ondersteuning geboden en geholpen bij het vinden van een alternatieve accommodatie, wat ik zeer heb gewaardeerd. Ik had echter graag eerder en rechtstreeks duidelijke informatie van de accommodatie ontvangen.

The flat was clean with a modern equipped kitchen and bathroom and lovely views as promised by the website. There is a washing machine which we were able to use and a rack for quickly drying clothes on the balcony. Complimentary tea/coffee, toiletries and dishwasher and washing machine tablets were much appreciated. It was peaceful yet with a few bars next door and within easy walking distance of the Bock casemates and the city centre (about 15-20 minutes) although I believe public transport is free to use and there is a bus stop in front of the building. It's a really fantastic flat if you don't need somewhere to leave a car for a few days and can put up with gentle city bustle noise. We were also very grateful for the fans provided as the apartment does get hot in sunshine - you need to keep the blinds down and closed. They have obviously listened to previous reviews as this was done for our arrival.

I was led to believe from a video sent with the property instructions that there was a designated free parking space included. This turned out to be not true which made our arrival after a long journey somewhat stressful as the parking situation around that area is complex and expensive. When I phoned for help with locating the parking space the person on the end of the phone just kept repeating that the video sent was a glitch in the website, that there was no parking space, as stated on the main website, and that we should use the on-street parking which is free over night but not useable for a whole day. We did find a 24 hr car public park right next to the building at 2 euros an hour - expensive when you're staying 2 nights and days. Minor points - It was missing a tea towel for the kitchen and we would have found a chopping board helpful. The toaster tripped the mains electricity switch when we tried to use it. A little welcome folder with basic instructions about where to take rubbish; how to use the coffee machine etc. would be useful. I know this is provided electronically but useful to have hard copies to save you having to fish the information out on your phone each time. We couldn't figure out how to use the coffee machine despite the pods provided. Balcony could have done with a sweep and a wipe down to remove cobwebs.

De dakramen van de tweede slaapkamer konden niet worden verduisterd. Hierdoor was het erg licht in de slaapkamer.

The property was very dusty and not well cleaned. I have a crawling baby and he went everywhere around the property and when I lifted him up, he was soo dirty. His knees, hands and feet became dark brown. I literally had to give him a shower. The window blinds, tv stand, centre table, were all very very dusty. When the sun was falling on the apartment, we could also visibly see the dust lying on every furniture.

The central location means it can be noisy. We were there on a public holiday, so on one night the partying across the road went on ALL NIGHT! Also we were unlucky because of the June 2026 heatwave, and we needed windows to be open for ventilation. The windows when closed are quite soundproof, but this was impossible in such weather. When we arrived, the blinds were open and the afternoon sun pouring in. The flat was absolutely stifling. The living room floor took several days of closed blinds to cool down. There are only 2 pillows and no cushions. We asked for another pillow as my husband needs support for a bad leg, and the answer was no. Only one toilet roll was supplied for a booking of 5 nights, and there are no nearby shops. We asked for more and the answer was no. This seems stingy.
