We particularly loved the authentic Japanese design, peaceful atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the property. The traditional entrance, lovely interior gardens and beautifully presented rooms created a truly relaxing environment. The public baths were another fantastic feature, especially after long days exploring Kyoto. The location was excellent, tucked away on a quiet traditional street yet conveniently close to shops, restaurants and attractions. A wonderful place to experience Japanese hospitality and one of the most memorable hotels of our trip!

Absolutely nothing to dislike! Kyoto was definitely our favourite destination during our trip to Japan, and this hotel made the experience even more special. The location was exceptional, right in the heart of everything and just steps away from the famous Nishiki Market. Despite being so central, the hotel offered a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. We genuinely couldn’t fault our stay and would return without hesitation!
