5 minutes walk from the central station, easy to find. Thon Hotel is a major hotel chain in Norway, with more than 10 Thon Hotels in Oslo alone, so be careful not to get confused. (Adjacent to the central station, there is another Thon Hotel called Thon Hotel Opera) I arrived at 8 am by night bus, and there was a room available for check-in. I wanted to take a shower after the night bus ride, so grateful! The entrance of the hotel is small for its size, making it seem like the entrance to a small shop... The room uses a regular card key, but it is not an auto-lock, and you have to touch the card key even when closing. The room facilities include a TV, a chair and desk, and a fixed hairdryer in the bathroom. There is no refrigerator or kettle, but next to the reception on the 1st floor, there is a coffee and tea maker and croissant (only around 3 pm?). Cup noodles can also be made if you want... WiFi is password-free and easy to use. There are several round-shaped sockets in the room. The breakfast is of a high standard. It opens from 6:30 on weekdays and offers a wide variety of choices. Several Norwegian fish dishes are also served. Surprisingly, there are not many supermarkets nearby, but there are many inside the station or near the station, so it's not a problem.
