O quarto era muito espaçoso, com varanda. A cama e travesseiros confortáveis, o closet ótimo e o banheiro grande com uma boa ducha.

It was very quiet, very spacious as well with easy access in to main surfers paradise streets and shopping/food & drink areas. The beds were comfortable and it was great to be able to have a fridge and microwave in the room so you could take any food you got from supermarkets and keep them fresh. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady who checked me in...I arrived at 9.30am ish and although she was very busy checking other people in an out on her own, she was very professional and kind and did everything with a smile. My room was so ready when I arrived and she greeted my by name as I was speaking to someone else about putting my suitcase in the luggage storage amd told me I could get into my room early. I wish I got her name but she was so lovely. It's good that the room had things like Netflix on the TV so I could watch some of my shows and enjoy the TV. The balcony was also very spacious and had a nice view of the beach/sea

There wasn't any breakfast available and considering there was only a couple cafes and a petrol station shop nearby it would have been nice to get breakfast. But I guess since you have access to a fridge and a microwave, you are able to keep stuff in for yourself.

I've stayed with Oaks many times in New Zealand and always had a good experience, which is why I chose Oaks for my first visit to the Gold Coast.

I travel often for work and personal trips and stay in hotels all the time, and I've never had a problem like this before. After checking out on 25 October, I found an extra $100 had been taken from my card. Nobody asked me, mentioned it at check-out, or sent any receipt or explanation. I emailed the Front Office Manager and also messaged the hotel through Booking.com asking what the charge was for. So far I have had no reply to either. Taking money from a guest's card without telling them, and then ignoring them when they ask about it, is really frustrating. It made my first Gold Coast trip worse and it's not the Oaks experience I'm used to. I've now had to involve my bank to sort it out. Future guests: check your card statement carefully after checkout and ask for a full itemised bill before you leave.
