The location, while convenient, is not quite as central to Kyoto’s main sightseeing areas as some other hotels, meaning that public transport is necessary. However, these is relatively minor drawbacks compared with the overall quality of the hotel.

Excellent breakfast, reasonably placed location for getting around Great Onsen which was a saviour as the rooms were too small for three to get ready in !!

Rude staff at breakfast would not seat any of us until our whole party of 5 arrived ( within 10 minutes), but rudely forced one of our party to move from a suitable table to a single table; then we lost the larger table as the others in our party arrived !! Rooms very small and noisy right on the main road and opposite a busy fire station.
