The accommodation host, Jessica, was lovely and really helped me to settle in - she showed me how to use the appliances, assured me that I could contact her if need be, and even drove me to a local shop so that I could do my grocery shopping. The apartment had everything that I needed - there were many plugs and power outlets to charge my devices, including one next to the bed, and the fridge had salt and sugar for if I needed any, as well as some essential pantry items in the cupboards that I didn't ask for, but benefitted from. The water in the shower was hot, and the stove, kettle and microwave worked well. I also appreciated the clean towels, blankets, washing up liquid and sponge. The apartment was clean overall and it was a close location to a shop with food items, busstop and around 20 minute walk to the closest Port Louis Metro station (Cocomandrel).

The surfaces in the kitchen were sticky initially and there were ants on them, but this wasn't a problem after I wiped it down. I also had some concerns about the safety of the area as some of my taxi drivers, and other locals seemed to think it was a bit dodgy, but as a young female solo traveller, their concerns for my safety may be seen as valid anywhere else.

Wir haben die Unterkunft gebucht und die Buchung wurde auch bestätigt. Da die Adresse nach der Buchung nicht korrekt angegeben war, haben wir den Vermieter telefonisch kontaktiert, um diese zu erfragen. Dabei teilte er uns jedoch mit, dass er die Unterkunft inzwischen anderweitig vermietet habe. Somit standen wir kurzfristig ohne Unterkunft für die Nacht da, was für uns äußerst unangenehm und ärgerlich war.
