Great staff ! I (female) arrived at 1AM and although the place a little sketchy, there were still enough people in the market on a Tuesday night so I felt secure and a kind of info desk to help you. The hostel is located in the 6th floor. The owner was waiting for me, gave me a quiet room and left. Cheap place, good for one night.

The ambiance downstairs

El alojamiento estuvo perfecto en cuanto a relación precio calidad. La ubicación espectacular!! La habitación estaba impecable y muy cómoda, para los días que nos quedamos. Y los anfitriones muy amorosos y dedicados!! Nos ayudaron en todo momento con cada pregunta o consejo para andar en la ciudad. Muchas gracias por una muy grata estadía !

Chungking mansions has its reputation for the chaos on the ground floor, but don't be stopped by it. The guesthouse itself is far from that confusion, it's quiet enough, clean, no strange smells or anything. And the staff is super friendly, kind and helpful. So you can really take advantage of the excellent position of being in Chungking mansions while having a good and clean room.
