The bunkers are cute and comfy. In general just the basic of what a digital nomad needs with some minor improvements needed. There is a 7 eleven in the corner, North station train easily accessible, TD garden just around the corner. Will definitely revisit. Train is 2.40 if transferring within 2 hrs, so I was able to get to far away places from downtown from there for cheap! Will come back. They also hold your suitcase for 24hrs either before or after checking.

Needs bigger stands in the bathroom. Napkins in the lobby. Something to mitigate the noise of the rolling curtains, the under the bed sliding bunker/locker needs to be able to latch more comfortably at the front do we don't crawl all underneath the front part of the bed.

The location. For me a night stay was very helpful. If I stayed again I’d choose a bunk bed. Only because I am 70 years old so getting in and out of a bunk bed would be easier.

It was a blow the lift wasn’t working. I had to carry my luggage up 12 flights of stairs! These things happen.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and I felt safe. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms are close by.

Rented a bed in a 4 unit and was put in a 15 unit. More noise at night.

The dorm itself was quite large, with around 17 beds/pods, but it was still surprisingly quiet and comfortable. I especially liked that each bed had its own ventilation control, which made a big difference if you prefer fresh air while sleeping, as well as an individual light. There were also plenty of USB charging ports. The shared bathrooms and showers were generally excellent: clean, well maintained, plenty of towels, and I had no complaints about the showers themselves. Staff were friendly as well.

The biggest practical issue during my stay was that the elevator was not working for all three nights I was there. As far as I could tell, there were no guest rooms on the first floor, so this could be a serious problem for anyone with mobility or accessibility needs. No alternative or price adjustment was offered. The bed assignment was also confusing. Within the same large dorm there were regular bunk beds and individual pods/capsules along the windows. I was assigned a bunk while several of the individual pods remained empty for much of my stay. At checkout I was told they were supposedly a different category, although another guest staying in one told me they had booked what appeared to be the same room type. I would strongly suggest making the different bed options much clearer during booking. Another issue with the bunk beds is that they have a translucent/plastic panel facing the shared room. If someone leaves the main room lights on at night, quite a lot of light comes through. There were no automatic light sensors or timers, so I eventually improvised a cover over the panel to make the bunk dark enough to sleep. Cleanliness was generally good, but I found old trash and belongings in the storage area underneath my bunk, including a water container and Boston Marathon materials that appeared to have been there for months. That made me question how regularly the storage compartments are actually emptied and cleaned. Some of the soap dispensers in the shared showers could also use replacement as the coating was badly chipped and had old soap buildup, which made them look neglected. The dorm doors also did not have automatic door closers, so guests could accidentally leave them open. Since access is otherwise controlled by key card, having doors that close automatically would make the rooms feel considerably more secure. Finally, pay attention to which direction you approach the hostel from at night.
