The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with an excellent bed and a good bathroom and shower. Its central location was a major advantage, and the hotel had several restaurants on-site that served good food at reasonable prices. The concierge, restaurant servers and other staff were friendly, and the taxi pick-up area was convenient. Overall, the hotel offered a pleasant stay, although it was somewhat more expensive than other hotels in the area.

Communication was the main difficulty, as very few staff members spoke English. Even when using a translator, it was sometimes difficult to explain what I needed and receive useful assistance, which caused repeated confusion. Although I had specifically booked a room with a window, mine looked into the hotel’s interior courtyard rather than outside, overlooking an enclosed garden or badminton area. The hotel also felt somewhat old-fashioned/very chinese and could benefit from a more modern or international style. On one day, my room card stopped working, although the problem was resolved at the help desk after approximately ten minutes. The air conditioning also switched off by itself on several occasions, requiring me to turn it on manually. This was inconvenient because the weather was very humid, and the windows became fogged or misted up.
