Matress was too soft for me and no tea/coffee to settle down
Nice concept. Quiet environment and great staff

The apartment is excellent and the staff are quite professional. I booked in the very earlier hours of the morning because I was grossly dissatisfied with my previous accommodation and needed to cancel/check out. They were quite prompt in responding and confirming my booking and were gracious to explain that I could keep my luggage or stay in a waiting room as they unfortunately couldn't honour my early check in request. Amazingly again, my room was an upgrade (without me knowing) until when I decided to extend my stay. They were gracious in their decision, quite humbly, even as I was allowed to stay for yet another night. Extremely clean, quite an organised environment.

I thought breakfast could be included in the room rates (though I suspect they are trying to keep an affordable room rate). Nonetheless, a seemingly good restaurant sits at the ground floor which I suspect belongs to the group. You can get meals there but unfortunately I didn't patronise as I ate out mostly. A key thing missing in the room is the intercom (PABX). For a facility like this, I would thing upward of sixty rooms, that is crucial, not only for the convenience of guest, but also for safety reasons. Seems they just renovated as everything looks new, but this is a key omission before start of operations! Also, some of the usual suspects like smoke detectors/fire alarms, I didn't notice - I guess the LASG building code! Also, the bathrooms could use towel racks, soap dishes as it is rather inconvenient scurrying around.
There is something rather wonderful about discovering somewhere that doesn't need to shout about itself to make a lasting impression. And that, for me, sums up Sigma Base Apartments. I stayed here for just one night, having deliberately booked one of the smaller rooms. And yes, it was small! But I knew exactly what I was booking, it was perfectly adequate for my needs, and I certainly wasn't looking for a ballroom in which to spend the night. What I hadn't quite anticipated was just how much I would enjoy everything else about the place. Peaceful. Quiet. Wonderfully relaxed. There is a lovely swimming pool area, and the spacious, airy bar and restaurant provides exactly the sort of environment where you can sit back, unwind and forget, for a while, that you're in the middle of one of the world's most gloriously hectic cities. The menu offers a good range of choices, the service is impressively quick, and the staff are tremendously friendly and accommodating. Nothing about the place feels hurried or unnecessarily complicated. And that relaxed atmosphere seems to run through the entire establishment. It isn't confined to one particular corner. It's simply how the place feels. I've stayed in some spectacular hotels in Lagos, but I've increasingly come to appreciate that the most enjoyable stays aren't necessarily about the size of the room, the grandeur of the surroundings or the number of stars beside a hotel's name. Sometimes it's about finding somewhere that lets you properly switch off. Sigma Base did exactly that. A lovely discovery, and somewhere I would be very happy to return to.

Very little, actually, and I offer these observations entirely in the spirit of constructive criticism rather than complaint. The shower could do with a little attention, and I was disappointed that there wasn't a conventional way to watch live football on the television, other than through a YouTube option. As someone who enjoys his football, that would have been a welcome addition! The only other minor frustration was that the restaurant couldn't accept my international payment card, which was a little inconvenient. But honestly, these are small things, and I mention them only because Sigma Base gets so much else absolutely right. None would discourage me from returning to what I found to be a wonderfully peaceful, welcoming and relaxing place to stay.
