The online check-in makes actual check-in a breeze. I got lucky and was upgraded to a suite for my stay and it really exceeded my expectations. From here on out I will just book the suite. It's worth it. All the staff at Hotel Holt are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent quality. You can't beat the location of this hotel either, right in the heart of Reykjavík.

You are hit with a mildew smell upon entering the hotel .. parking an issue , told to pay for street parking, not what we expected, Tv was worked , but limited to one station , remote not working properly, rug needs cleaned ! No bathroom exhaust fan, bedroom area had window open for ventilation.. Hotel has only single person use of elevator due to sensor issues - USB plugs not working well. This room was not good for two people.. limited electrical plugs for charging .. crabby desk limited help..telling me .. working to much .. ok

The art displayed throughout the hotel and within the rooms is lovely! The bar and reception are also well decorated. Gabriella at reception was very nice and helpful!!

The room photography is deceptive; in person our King balcony room seemed dated with faded stained carpet and an oddly placed worn down couch. Cramped bathroom. Also the balcony is not private (that wasn’t a deal breaker as it was cold and rainy during our stay, but still wasn’t obvious to me from the pics).

Location about 5 minute walk to the rainbow street and shops. 10 minute walk to the church. Beautiful decoration of art throughout the hotel. Nice junior suite with living room. Free onsite parking for about 10 cars, so be early
