My family member was deemed not fit to fly as we were about to board our flight home due to food poisoning from this resort. Having checked out earlier that evening, we went back to the resort to find somewhere to stay as it was very late at this point. Upon arrival we weren’t even let in the gate by security who were very unhelpful and had an attitude as if they could not care, even after explaining the situation with regards to my severely ill family member as a result of THEIR hotel but even then they still refused us saying there were ‘no rooms’. As a result I checked booking.com which showed that there was infact availability contrary to what staff were telling me, so I booked and then showed security my booking number who then passed me the phone to reception, who informed me that apparently booking.com was wrong and there was no availability which I find very hard to believe considering the size of the hotel and also the resort having not been busy at all that day up until we originally left. During this whole interaction we still were not let in the gate even after myself asking multiple times if I could just be let in to speak to reception about the situation! This then led to us having to try and find somewhere else at 1 in the morning by this point and eventually we found a RIU hotel who were amazing and the receptionist there informing me that a possible reason we were turned away could have been due to the receptionist not wanting to have to redo already completed paperwork for that day… I’m not saying this is true however being turned away in that fashion was awful and a complete lack of care and compassion from the hotel.

Laundry prices way way to high.

The room is very nicely decorated, spacious, and very comfortable. The buffet restaurant was clean and served a good selection of tasty food. Entertainment was good.

I had great difficulty finding my way around the hotel. Signage near the lifts would be helpful to show which way to go to the bedrooms. I kept getting lost!
