Excellent location, room clean, modern, spacious for a solo traveler. Staff allowed an earlier check-in as the room was ready, couldn’t be more helpful and helped me with my luggage on my departure. Would certainly stay there again.

The hotel does not have breakfast but you don't need it, in the surroundings you can have breakfast in many places.

I've stayed at this hotel and their sister hotel nearby on Wellington – the latter has a more Chinese feel, while this is more retro-future. For a relatively 'budget' hotel, these have a great location, clean comfy rooms, good wifi and they'll lend you a mobile wifi unit if you stay more than a day. They seem to take sustainability seriously and give you a glass jug to fill with filtered water from the lobby.

Downsides – The LKF hotel is right in the middle of the club/bar district and looks a bit like one at ground level, so I was a bit unsure about it when I arrived at night and the bar next door was in full swing. However, rooms are high up and the partying fades away. Also, there is no breakfast, so you need to go and look around the neighborhood – which of course is full of great places, so not too much of a problem
