Loved the location. Walking distance from almost everything. If we didn't walk, our destination was a short uber less than $15 dollars. You can step out of the back entrance of the hotel and you're right on Canal Street. It was super safe. Keycard entry into the hotel and elevators. Staff was great and pleasant! The food at the hotel bar was really good and so were the drinks! The doormen were so friendly and welcoming.

Housekeeping came in the middle of the day around 3-5pm. Two out three days we had to turn down service because we were napping or were in the middle of getting dressed for the evening. We didn't expect housekeeping around that time. We purposely made morning and early afternoon plans with hopes to be out of the way for housekeeping. The room also needs another trashcan. There was only one really small can in the bathroom.

Not a complaint, but a suggestion: the pool has sun exposure all the time, maybe some umbrellas could help guests enjoy the space even more.

Bruno is absolutely amazing and he accommodated us at the very last minute with rooms and service. Justin was also spectacular. We truly appreciate them stepping in. Will definitely be back!

The JW is one of my favorite hotels. As we are a Tulane family, we stay there a lot. LOVE the doormen-they are hysterical, friendly and the nicest people. The gym however was disappointing this last time. One half barely had a/c. The 2 Peloton bikes did not work: the seat on one would not stay up (liability for sure) and its pedals were not aligned, the other was not calibrated. I hope they take care of this ASAP as we are due back in a week.
