It is seeped in history but could use updating to modernize it. For example, the shower was a little challenging to use and generally the rooms could do with an upgrade like the curtains and carpets. I used the ironing board and iron and it was very old and the iron leaked and stained some of my clothes with limescale. For a hotel this central and this expensive (and for its star rating) I would have expected more, for example better quality towels and toilet tissue, better products (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) and free amenities like toothpaste, sewing kit, razors etc.

The room has a small fridge but it doesn't cool so I don't understand why it's there, it would be better not to have it. Everything else was great

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. There was noise above the washroom that sounded like laundry facilities and phones or alarms ringing continuously.
