It’s a beautiful location in el centro behind the church. Lovely view and very comfortable room. The bell does chime every hour but the hotel provides ear plugs if you are very noise sensitive. We had dinner at La Cappella restaurant and it was excellent. Emanuel at the front desk made sure we were comfortable and helped us with everything we needed during our stay.

It’s a bit of a climb up the hill from downtown but it’s doable.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Everyone working there was great. Daniela and Ricardo greeted us and got us settled in even though we arrived rather early. The room was great and the views fantastic. The restaurant on the premises is top quality.

Nestled on the hillside behind the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, each of the 7 rooms in this boutique hotel offer stunning views of both the domed Cathedral and the bay, from the rooms and their expansive balconies. Each room has a different layout, with unique furnishings. There is a strong religious element to the design, with respect to the nearby Cathedral. Overall, it is a charming, calming, luxurious jewel of a property. La Capella, the main restaurant, offers panoramic views of Puerta Vallarta and the bay. The sky is a magical, colorful display each evening, entertaining dinner guests, while the sun is setting. A trio of violinists serenade the diners in the frescoed-ceiling, main dining room, which is open-aired on the ocean side, greatly enhancing the views. This area is used for hotel guests each morning, offering a wide-spread breakfast menu. Reservations for dinner are open to the public and shouldn’t be missed, especially for memorable events. The property is built climbing a hillside and spans several stories, accessed by exterior stairs. This could be challenging, should you have issues, but there are some rooms closer to the restaurant, with fewer stairs. My 77 year old husband noticed his stamina improving daily, due to the exercise. This was our second stay. We greatly yearn to return to a place that has deeply touched our hearts.
