We were very disappointed with this hotel, especially for the price. We were given a room on the mezzanine floor with no natural daylight at all. It felt like living in a basement. A spacious room doesn't mean much when you spend your stay in a cave. A large pipe from the building's factory days also runs through the middle of the room and up through every floor. We assumed it was a decorative industrial feature. It isn't. It carries wastewater from the rooms above, and it's right next to the bed. The noise is exactly what you'd imagine, and it woke us up several times every night. The worst part, though, was breakfast, which we paid extra for on top of the room rate. I've travelled all over the world, and I've rarely seen worse. Don't expect a normal hotel breakfast. You get a choice of instant porridge in paper cups that you fill with hot water, a couple of types of buns, and a "burger" option that is literally a dry bun with a single piece of bacon inside. That's it. Nothing else. It's the kind of pre-packaged grab-and-go food you'd buy at a convenience store, and honestly, it was inedible.A very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel in 2023 and it was vibrant. There was a great cafe and bar in the foyer with everything from a DJ on weekend nights to life drawing classes for locals during the day. The breakfast was excellent and being able to grab everything from morning granola to a late night drink downstairs made it excellent. Fast forward to 2026 and it's like a different hotel. The cafe and bar have closed and there is a very strange damp smell in the foyer. The hotel has become "serviced apartments", although frankly they are neither apartments nor serviced unless you stay seven nights or more. The breakfast is a selection of pre-packaged food that makes airline food look good. Our room was ok, although several items were in very poor condition (e.g. a table that was so wobbly it was impossible to work on), and the whole place feels run down. The location is excellent, however sadly this is the only thing now going for a hotel that was once really fabulous.

£295 for one night to be offered a cold bacon bun for breakfast is not acceptable.

Disappointed to find one of the bedrooms did not have an external window making it a less comfortable stay for the guest in that room as it was still too warm even when the ceiling fan was in operation.Because of this I would not make another booking in this accommodation in the future for a 2 bedroom apartment.
