Honest review of our experience/stay at The Paradise Inn: Location: Good...close to Duval without all of the foot traffic. The street itself is very busy with vehicle traffic, so it's not 'quiet'. Southernmost area is easily walkable. If you want to branch out and hit Mallory Square, Ft. Zack or the marina and don't mind walking, you will be at least a 15-20 minute walk one way, so keep that in mind. Resort: Just average. Front Desk staff seemed to be MIA quite often and not the friendliest. Absolutely ridiculous $40/day resort fee. You get absolutely nothing for it and there is not a 'resort' with facilities to warrant this. You still have to pay to rent bikes and there are zero benefits to being charged the fee. Pool area is nice, 8-10 lounge chairs with umbrellas. There is no water or refreshments available anywhere to guests, even in the front lobby. You are on your own if you want anything to drink. If you are an early riser and want a cup of coffee before 7AM you will have to walk to get it. Happy hour is your choice of a few wines, some mixed nuts, cheese and crackers. Breakfast is borderline average continental style. Nothing special or anything different than a Days Inn. Room: We stayed in the Gumbo Limbo Cottage which was a stand alone cottage at the front of the resort. Two private porches, separate living room from bedroom. Full bathroom with a separate area with a vanity and sink. Very large walk-in shower. The cottage appeared to be clean until you walked around and looked at the bottoms of your feet...Literally black! The floors were absolutely FILTHY! There is no question that the floors are not cleaned on a regular basis (if at all). The baseboards and all the corners of the cottage were also dirty. There is a small espresso coffee maker in the room, don't bother even trying to use it. It barely worked and when it did, whatever coffee was in the tiny pods was awful! We have been going to Key West for approximately 20 years and there has only been two places that we have stayed that we said that we would not return to and this is one of the two. It is nothing special, just an average and teetering on below average place to stay in Key West.

We stayed for two nights, and got a very good value on the room. If the room rate wasn't so good I would have dropped a dot from this review rating. The king room was well appointed, huge with separate living and sleeping rooms, and the bathroom/prep area in between. We didn't pay the $30/night for parking, and easily found an unlimited time spot on the street. If you're willing to walk a little the street parking on Truman Ave by St. Mary's doesn't seem to fill up. The pool and hot tub are nice, but the hot tub wasn't hot at all. It was basically the same temperature as the (warm) pool. My biggest gripe is the $40/night resort fee doesn't even cover the rental bikes. I don't know what it does cover as WiFi and pool/hot tub are pretty much standard at all hotels. They need to cut out the misleading pricing and get rid of the 'resort' fee as it's just a normal nice hotel.

Amazing hotel Jodi checked us in & Lokesh checked us out, both staff members a credit to the hotel very friendly & helpful. Rooms in the hotel are spacious clean & have everything you need in them. The hotel is a short walk into town. Only disappointment for us was that we couldn't stay another night. This was the highlight of our holiday!

We've stayed in several places in Key West over the years and found Paradise Inn to be the best so far. Helpful and welcoming staff, large clean and comfortable rooms, well-maintained pool and property. Be sure to sample the free breakfast and happy hour goodies. Thanks for a great experience!

Great location the rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. The resort fee includes: Beach towels Bicycle storage Housekeeping In-room bottled water In-room coffee In-room safe Internet access Pool access But we never got housekeeping even after leaving a sign to have the room made up. I was told by the front desk, I needed to let them know I wanted my room cleaned. So no towels until I was escorted to the laundry room and given bottled water and towels for the 2nd night. For the price point customer service was lacking. As a travel advisor, I would really advise this after my stay. The breakfast should say Continental And my safe did not work. kept saying error code.

Super conveniently located. And a great value. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because, the travertine flooring inside was old, scuffed and looked dirty. Aside from that I loved it.

THIS IS NOT THE ONE! We booked the Paradise Inn for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We've been to KW countless times. The Paradise Inn is in serious need of improvement. First, the location that we were given wasn't what we requested. We had a unit that was directly located in the parking lot. There were cars coming and going, slamming doors all night long. Not very much like paradise if you asked me! Second, the construction started EVERY morning before 8AM. If you've ever spent the night out in KW, you know this is very annoying. We spoke to management. He let us know that the property is under new management and they are trying to get it up to par for the coming season. Good for them, BAD for us! He said it wouldn't happen again, but of course it did. The dumpster located next to our bedroom window was being filled with construction material at 7:45AM. Now for the condition of the room. The bathroom was horrible. Cracked tiles floors and in the shower and dirty walls all around. Simply gross..The moisture level in the unit was so high that we had to keep our shoes on because the floors were constantly wet. The patio outside our door had a table for 4 but only 3 run down and extremely dirty chairs. The table and chairs had not been cleaned in a very long time, and the chairs were covered in Iguana poop. Needless to say, we would not recommend staying at the 'Paradise Inn' as Paradise seems to be lost of this location. Otherwise as always, KW was amazing!
