Once we had arrived it was a very nice hotel. A good example of Raddison Blu. The location is actually quite good, but the hotel is mis-named. Interestingly the Raddison Blu - Bloomsbury is directly opposite across the road. Staff were good and helpful and the chocolates on reception delightful! One really major win - this hotel had Gluten Free biscuits in the room and reception. Unusual and noteworthy!!! Hopefully a sign of things to come. Breakfast was pretty good but had the usual issue of having to get the GF bread out of the freezer in the kitchen, toasted and delivered to you.

A couple of relatively minor issues. One is the naming of the hotel. Taxi drivers will drop you off at the Raddison Blu at the top of Tottenham Court Road if you ask for the hotel using the name. It happened to us and it's a 15 min walk between the hotels. All the staff know of the problem and sympathise but that's little consolation when you're tired and just want to check in. Getting a taxi at the top of Tottenham Court Road is a virtual impossibility! Second issue is that the restaurant in the hotel is mornings and lunchtime only. Evenings you are directed towards the one at the Raddison Blus hotel across the road. OK but very fancy food and high prices. Between the pair of us (me GF & other no chillies) there was nothing that appealed. Fortunately, other eating establishments are available nearby.
