Acre was amazing! In October I do recommend booking the treehouse WITH AC as it would have been miserably hot at night without it. Wonderful staff, fantastic food, great pool, all in a beautiful jungle setting with the songs of nature. They light incense at night to gently perfume the air. My guy caught a mahi mahi and the chef kindly prepared it for our dinner. Go see Lencho for a fantastic horseback ride and don’t forget to visit the Acre Dogs rescue!

We booked 4 nights in a design treehouse with air conditioning. Problem #1: Tiny ANTS were crawling all over the bed. Problem #2: Air conditioning was a joke. How can you air condition a room where the “door” is actually no more than a screen and curtain. Answer: almost impossible. Problem #3: dim lighting in room. Problem #4: too small for two people. No room to move around the bed. Due to ant issue, the hotel moved us into a two-bedroom villa. While this was generous and lovely, it was VERY expensive compared to the treehouse and had another problem (#5: only lukewarm water forcthe bath/shower). All combined, we had no choice but to leave after the first night. Warning: we booked through expedia so the hotel decided to NOT REFUND any of the remaining three nights. Basically, they put us in a villa at $1200/night which about equalled the cost of 4 nights in a treehouse. Food at Acre restaurant was mediocre. This establishment is in a construction zone and if it rains, good luck using the roads. It was NOT OUR FAULT the bed had ants. The hotel should have refunded us SOMETHING for that problem. If you are a camping fan and outdoor enthusiast, you will like this property. If you have refined tastes and need air conditioning THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU. For dining, save your money and go next door to Flora Farms—wonderful.

Amazing experience. We took a treetop room and were up in the trees. Felt like you were living in a lush green palm tree garden. The staff was amazing. So kind and helpful.

The treehouse was so novel and enjoyable. It really felt like just us and the birds above the canopy

Beautiful grounds, amazing animals, and great service by the pool. The dinner at Acre is amazing. The noise however was really loud under our treehouse, a few men were doing construction, so it was disappointing since we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. I was nervous to take an outdoor shower under the men. We moved rooms and it was better but the front staff seemed annoyed with the request.

Our stay at Acre was very pleasant! There was great staff, the food was delicious and the ambience was immaculate with all the wonderful vegetation and wildlife (horses, dogs, chickens, ducks, donkeys and peacocks). Overall a wonderful and fun experience for a nature and animal lover. My fiancé and I will love to be back soon.
