The hotel is old but the size of the room is sufficient. If you think of it just for sleeping, there is no particular inconvenience. Feeling it is expensive is due to the weak yen, if you think in dollars, it's just how it is. It is very convenient as it is close to the shuttle stop to go to Dodger Stadium. A very good point is that the parking is free.

Amazing place - I needed to change after my first night, and they did it really obligingly with no questions - into an apartment-sized room - fridge, big chairs, double bed, great air con, shower was wonderful - only downside is no microwave. Other than that, it was perfect and help yourself to coffee and hot water downstairs! Was right next to the main road, but I kept the air con on all night, so didn't hear a thing! Needed to book a room for the next week, as I was returning from Mexico before flying home to Australia the next day - they gave me a VERY competitive room rate (we 'negotiated'), so that alone is enough to make me want to go back! Also, it is RIGHT round the corner from Union Station - you can see it from the front door, which was a HUGE drawcard when I flew in from Mexico and didn't get to the hotel until midnight! They also hold your luggage for you after check out until you need to go to your next spot.

The location is close to Union Station, which is a bus and metro station, super easy to get around Los Angeles, there is also a direct bus to the airport.

Be careful after 10 pm, the area is frequented by passersby and homeless people, but nothing too scary.
