I wanted to wash my hands and noticed there was no soap at the sink or anywhere in the bathroom. My wife went to ask the cleaning lady, who was still cleaning the floor where we were staying, if she could get us some soap. She told my wife that she had forgotten to order it. So I went to the front desk and received the same response. I don't blame the employees, since they are just doing their jobs. However, this decision to save a few pennies on soap must have come from the administration. I've never experienced a situation like this, even when staying at hotels in poor countries.
I always stay at La Quinta because it is moderately priced and enjoy the breakfast. Also the mattress was firmer than most. Like the small shampoo and conditioner better than the pumps. This LQ must be a fairly new property. checked in on Thursday 3 Sept returning for what I thought was another paid night. Had left my travel bag packed. Found out had only one night. Leo on duty was cool giving me another nearby room first floor. Also had my bag stored for me.

The day shift should have alerted the desk that my clothes were stored.
Our stay was nice. Only 1 problem I faced was that on the day we were leaving, there was a homeless person sneaking in and started picking up food with his dirty hand, after every 5 seconds he was scratching his ass inside his pants & picking food with the same hand. Nobody was at the reception to stop him. I couldn't eat anything after this, went to my room & threw up. Also, I haven't received my deposit. The girl at the counter said I will get my deposit in 5 days. If you have already sent the deposit back to me, please send me one info about that.
