We ordered a junior suite for CHF 880.00 per night and got a room with a large area of about 20 m2 to max. 25 m2. At the foot of the bed, there was a narrow passage of about 50 cm. The bathroom had a sink. We found this room not to be a junior suite and also mentioned this to the front desk at check-out upon departure. Room No. 430 should not be advertised as a junior suite. The breakfast room was also not exactly 5-star quality! The hotel was undergoing renovation, and the breakfast room that we knew from before, which was very nice, was unfortunately not usable.

During my stay, I unfortunately discovered that a portion of the cash I had kept in my room bag was missing. I first reported this to hotel management on August 14. As this fell over a weekend, the hotel only started its investigation and informed me that I should contact the police on August 17, the day of my departure – which did not leave me a real opportunity to file a police report before my flight. I want to be fair to the hotel and note that management did engage with their internal investigation but it didn't give any result. I would encourage guests to use the in-room safe or hotel deposit box for valuables rather than leaving cash in luggage. I would also suggest that hotels consider how weekend timing may affect guests’ ability to respond to such matters before departure. Separately, the hotel was undergoing renovation works during my stay. This is worth knowing in advance if you are planning to book during this period and pay that money.
