It was still very expensive for what it was and breakfast was very basic

Location is a couple of minutes walk from the center, which makes it a quiet location. Parking lot on premises is a plus. Breakfast wasn't thrilling, but Ok (eggs, a small selection of cereal, bacon, some fruit)

While some of the staff were friendly and helpful, some of them (and specifically the woman who checked us in, and was there again for various shifts during our stay) wasn't friendly or helpful.

Nice, clean room with a comfortable bed (the sofa bed is too small for 2 children). Friendly staff and quiet location. The underground parking is also convenient. The center of Banff is within walking distance in a few minutes. We particularly liked the water dispenser in the hallway, where you could refill your own bottles for free. We will gladly come back.

The only criticism was the breakfast: There were fortunately real dishes (plates, cups, glasses, and bowls, as well as cutlery), but at the same time, there was a lot of disposable plastic and cardboard tableware. We found it incomprehensible that this was even placed in front of the real dishes. For example, the proper cups were at the bottom of a compartment and were hardly noticeable. It would be nice if the reusable dishes were clearly in the foreground.
