It was a shame there was no restaurant on site. Also, it would have been good to have had a designated smoking area for the hotel. I don’t smoke, but my room was next to someone who did, and this was not pleasant as it went into the room and meant I couldn’t sit on the balcony.

Location is not very good. Quite far from the esplanade, makes you need to find a car or bus all the times you want to go to the main areas in Cairns.

I like everything about Palm Royle. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job, very clean, about 5 minutes' walk to the shopping complex and the bus stop. The pool was magnificent.
