The check in process was rough as rooms were not ready when promised, however the staff made it right & were incredible after that! Jess & Hannah at the front desk were amazing & accommodating, and Trey & Andrew at valet were super friendly.

Topline: Location is decent. Hotel in general very nice. Lobby is under construction. Rooms are HIGHLY VARIABLE. Checked in with a confirmed upgrade, upgrade was given to another family due to their length of stay. Ended up in a top-priced room that had half of the square-footage consumed by the adjacent emergency stairwell (anything ending in *27 should be avoided). Small room. No coffee machine. Comfy-ish bed. If you are used to other Kimpton properties or only stay at 3-Diamond or 5-Star hotels as we typically do, this will be a disappointment. I was excited to use this as our new Red Rock's base as we live in a resort town in the mountains, however my search continues. If you have never stayed anywhere nice, this might be a breath a fresh air. If you are a bit more seasoned, as I assumed most Kimpton hotel travelers are, you might be best served to stay in a suite at the Residence Inn next door for less money. My folks stayed there with a full suite for half of the price that I paid for a room a quarter of the size with slightly more snazzy wallpaper and a wine happy hour. Kimpton Denver: I'm gonna be honest - tighten it up.

Location is fine. Atmosphere well, just think it could be better, hotel is definitely showing age. They did have a fire in the hotel lobby last week, we weren’t informed of that. So there was about 6 chairs set in the very hot lobby for guests. The room was nice but the air wasn’t keeping it cool. Value was fine, although they don’t tell you there is an additional 35.00 a day added upon check in. Not including parking. The room was clean, the halls and restaurant need a little freshening . Food was good though. Front desk really didn’t want to hear anything about it. That’s it.

So I will start by saying I was in Denver for a conference but traveling with 3 of my children, ages 22, 26, and 11. This was their first time In Colorado but not our first traveling experience. I’m going to start withe the boring and move on to the essentials 1- location is optimal to downtown and. Denver amenities. As with many city accommodations there is no street parking, valet is available and was what we used. 2- Rooms and cleanliness I wi list as 1. The entire hotel was clean but also going through renovations. Our room was large and comfortably appointed. The available complimentary items are fabulous. There was quite a bit of chipped paint and the guest elevators were on again off again so employees elevators had to be used. It definitely added to the adventure and memories! 3- value was comparable to the other local hotels, actually seemed less expensive. Again the complementary options were excellent. 4- atmosphere! This is my most important measure and thankfully, also my kids and peers. Some of my peers were in other hotels and NONE of them enjoyed the atmosphere as much as we did!! They left their hotels to hang at mine because the staff, Especially Hannah, Nick and the young blond who looked amazing in emerald green, were so welcoming, personable and always fun. They asked about what we enjoyed and didn’t, they engaged with each of us and made amazing food recommendations as well as things to see. You can’t renovate staff into amazing human beings that is something innate and the Kimpton Monaco has that!!
