Good food: Decent breakfast, good taste, didn't miss anything in terms of selection. Overall good food in the restaurant. Great to have access to the gym and pool, very easy and convenient! Superb service!! The staff are friendly, helpful, and very pleasant! Clean and tidy place, absolutely proper! The room was very well cleaned and maintained throughout the stay (5 nights). Easy to travel to Edinburgh city center, just a short travel time, but it doesn't matter when the bus has two floors :) Great park with hiking trails right outside the door. The bus stops right at both the airport and the city.

There was a tendency for things to run out and it took time for breakfast items to be replenished. They charged a lot extra for small things that were not informed about for dinner. Could have been communicated. I didn't think to stand and study the bill there and then. Many types of beer were on the menu but they were often out of stock.

The ladies at the reception were very helpful with any queries you had. We were upgraded to a lovely large room which was very clean upon arrival. Breakfast at the hotel was self-service and had everything you needed.

I can't understand why the hotel description mentions being in Murrayfield as the hotel is quite a distance from there with no amenities to walk to, which I found a bit of false advertisement.
