The only positive thing about this hotel was the location. Unfortunately, almost everything else about our stay was disappointing.

The only positive thing about this hotel was the location. Unfortunately, almost everything else about our stay was disappointing.

One of the biggest issues was the timeshare sales experience. A sales representative initially approached us acting as though he was providing concierge assistance. He suddenly mentioned a “free drink and breakfast,” which made it sound like a normal hotel guest benefit. However, the conversation quickly turned into a timeshare sales pitch. He asked us inappropriate and highly personal questions, including what type of credit card we use and how much we earn. We were then expected to spend our vacation time listening to the sales pitch. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and felt very misleading. We did not appreciate being approached this way as hotel guests. The condition and cleanliness of the room were also unacceptable. The bathtub mat had visible mold, and there was mold on the curtains as well. There was a persistent moldy/musty smell throughout the room for our entire stay, which made it unpleasant to spend time there. The pool area was similarly disappointing. The pool water did not look clean, and several tiles were broken and appeared to have been left unrepaired for quite some time. After seeing other reviews mentioning similar maintenance issues, it honestly gave us the impression that the property management is not taking proper care of the property. We also did not choose the all-inclusive option, but considering the amount we paid for the room, I was surprised that the hotel did not even provide basic drinking water. The overall value was extremely poor.

First time at all resort out of the country. We had an amazing experiences. We opted to get the all inclusive package for peace of mind and it was so worth it. They greet you with champagne and five minute complementary massage. Everyone from front desk to pool bar attendees were amazing. The food was incredible, we mostly ate at La Ceiba which is the restaurant by the pool. Tasteful good, lots of options especially because we are picky eaters. Staff Diana, Paul, Alberto and Edgar were absolutely amazing. We ran into them every single day and they all took great care of us. Overall, an amazing resort if youre looking to eat, relax and enjoy some alone tome with your person. Will be coming back.

This is my third stay at villa premiere. I’ve stayed with both friends and my husband so don’t let the ‘romantic’ name put you off if that is not what you’re looking for. I enjoy the relaxing setting and vibe by the pool and the pool staff is great. Always friendly and helpful. Particularly, Jorge, Victor, and Paul - the pool concierge. Plus, I’ve never had a problem getting a chair at the pool like other resorts where people save chairs first thing in the morning and then never use them. I feel like the pool menu has changed over the years and wish it still had more traditional Mexican poolside options like quesadillas and nachos. They’ve also started charging for extra coffee pods for the Nespresso machines in rooms if you don’t have the all inclusive option, combined with their sales pitch to buy a membership, both of which left a bad taste to this third visit. Go Bears!

Overall excellent. Beautiful views, an effortlessly elegant atmosphere, and the staff - Paul, Esteban, Javier, Jorge - all fantastic, attentive and kind. Everything we hoped for; we’d come back in an instant.
